Optimize Cloud Collaboration with Google as Main Platform
11 Jul 2022

The shift to Industry 4.0 marks the start of the digitalization era.  It is not surprising that the majority of businesses today are already utilizing cloud services to support their operations.  Many small-scale businesses have used this technology, even though they only use simple functions such as data backup or data sharing.

Even so, the increase in business scales will later increase the functioning of the function and capacity of the cloud used. One of the best options to meet this need is to use multi-cloud and/or hybrid cloud.

Multi-Cloud vs Hybrid Cloud

Basically, Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud have a similar work system, which is combining or collaborative with several cloud at once. The fundamental difference between the two is:

·        Multi-Cloud combines and integrates some public cloud from the Cloud Service Provider, while

·        Hybrid Cloud combines different types of cloud; For example Public Cloud and Private Cloud, or private cloud with on-premise infrastructure.

The Role of Multi-cloud and Hybrid cloud in Supporting Business

Multi-cloud allows your company to enhance the public cloud services that are already in use.  The reason is, each cloud service provider has its own uniqueness.  So by combining cloud services from several providers, your company can get all the features it needs.  Sometimes, multi-cloud is also integrated with private cloud which means it can be merged with hybrid cloud.

On the other hand, hybrid cloud supports your business in terms of security.  Because, the combination of public cloud and private cloud allows your company to determine which data can be stored in the public cloud and which data should be stored in the private cloud or on-premise.  In addition, the hybrid cloud can also manage confidential data to keep it safe when sent to other parts, and allow your company to update applications gradually according to the needs and the situation.

Although both types of cloud collaboration above have a different basic work system, multi-cloud and hybrid cloud have the same purpose, namely increasing the effectiveness and security of corporate data and reducing IT costs.

Google Cloud as the main platform of Collaboration

Google Cloud is a solution for your company who wants to enjoy the benefits of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud. With its innate abilities, this platform will help you or your worker modernize your company's IT application then run it on various cloud used; Both on Google Cloud and other cloud.

In addition, this Google platform can also move quickly to improve the performance and benefits of cloud in response to changes in market conditions. Google Cloud can also present a consistent and deep-depth data analysis in real-time for your company to use as a basis for business analysis.

Talk about security guarantees, Google Cloud will integrate all applications in each cycle. This means that the security will start from the development phase until it is run. It is also important to remember that security technology applied to this platform will always be in accordance with strict compliance standards for the industry.

The next advantage of Google Cloud is the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) that will make it easier for users (you or workers in your company) to access and spread its features to all parts of the company. Finally, this platform is also supported by various other Google services, such as Maps, Search, Voice, etc. which continues to be developed so that it can always provide the best service to its users.
